Seoul Tower

Went to Seoul Tower (also known as Namsan Tower because it sits on top of Namsan park) last week to get a bird's eye view of Seoul. [Built on a 262 meter peak in Namsan Park, the tower reaches to 480 meters above sea level.] I had a nice lunch in a restaurant with a fantastic view of city. The smog was not too bad - and the view was relatively clear. You do have to pick your spots when deciding to visit the tower. Seoul is the third largest city in the world (22 million) and walking around the tower it is like looking out at at buildings as far as the eye can see. (And in case you wondered the two bigger cities are Tokyo and Mexico City (http://www.biggest-cities.com/) I enjoyed the cable car ride up to the top of Namsam and they had a good Latin Band playing at the base of the tower.

I unfortunately had turned my flash off and didn't notice how dark this came out but as you walked around the Tower they listed put distances to many other major cities around the world. I'm trying to figure out why Seattle was listed as 1000km farther away than Vancouver. Hmm.

A view from Seoul Tower out to the Han River.

I'll post more soon. I hope everyone is doing well.

Cheers,
Richard.
