Terry Fox Run and other stuff...

Hello everyone. I've been busy partying it up. It took me 5 months but I'm starting to get out more and living it up. Seoul is a big place and it's time to explore. But first it's time to have a few laughs with my running club. The Hashers are a drinking club with a running problem.

I went out on Sunday for the Terry Fox Run. A wonderful event. There was one Korean boy who was running with the same right leg amputated. I'll never complain about a sore ankle - I'm just happy to have an ankle that can get sore. The Canadian Korean ambassador was quite amusing and had the Koreans laughing. And I was beginning to wonder if any Canadian politician had any Charisma -- maybe they ship all these guys off to other countries?

I took this photo while running - this is the Korean parliament.

Here is a photo of my class at English Village. English Village is a small town set-up for Korean families to visit to get a proper taste of North American Culture. American and British style restaurants, buildings and oddly enough Stone Henge. You enter through a mock a immigration center where the kids are issued real looking passports and have to talk to the immigration girls. It's actually kind of Twilight Zone to be from North America and then living in Korea and seeing their "take" on western culture. If you have seen the episode of the Simpsons where they travel to Duff world and go on the It's a duff world ride - well it was strange like that. I dunno but it sure isn't as fun as Disney Land!!

Here's a photo of some of my new friends -- left to right is the fiery red head Kim from Australia, yours truly with the new shades - a handsome devil if I do say so myself, Christen - one of the Cheese sisters (ahem cause she's from Wisconsin), Rebecca of the Emerald Isle and that Irish accent is downright adorable - and she's a boxer too so don't get in her face, and then there is Sharlene from Quebec but don't hold that against her - though she is a Habs fan so....

Lastly a picture of Paula (the other cheese sister) and myself at 4:30 in the morning after a night out on the town. Paula - the Gaelic football goalie boob noogying girl showing a softer side.

Anyway, bye for now everyone.
