Time for an Update and Some Teaching Pictures
Well it's been a long time since posting an update and so I will tell you all what is happening.
I have decided to stay in Korea for another year. I have decided to take a job with a new school in Gangnam which is the wealthiest district of Seoul. It is just south of the Han river and will be a lot closer to the club districts which means a $5.00 cab fair instead of a $30.00 cab ride for those late nights when the subway stops running. I will be ending my stay at Kid's College on February 28th and starting the new school March 1st. No rest for the weary. The new school bases their system on the BC curriculum and only hires qualified teachers. So I am hoping that the experience will be a positive one. I have more friends in this area which is a big reason for going.
My birthday was on January 11th and I turned 33. The parents were very nice to me sending a cake and some nice presents. They sent me a nce shirt from a company called Beanpole which of course I had to return because I'm too fat to fit into Korean sizes despite losing 10kg since being here. I traded it in for a lovely carry bag. Add to the wonderful Georgio Armani cologne and I feel like I'm living the high life - well a taste of it anyway. It's kind of nice especially after 5 years of University.
Anyway
Here are some photos.

This is me playing the part of Doctor for the English Land Day about 6 months ago. Students would go to each class and practice talking to different people such as airport staff, bankers, post office personel etc.

This is me as Santa -- I was Santa for some of the classes. We had a big party and each class would come down to meet Santa and get an early present. My first Santa portrayal. It was rather fun too. Ho Ho Ho.

This is Tom as Santa with my kids. Joshua to the right of Santa almost cracked a smile this time -- the camera needs to be quicker - he always seems to know just when to get rid of the smile. I'll get him on film smiling if it's the last thing I do. :-)
That two finger peace sign the kids make means victory in Korea not peace if you were wondering.
Miss you all a lot - write and tell me about your life.
Cheers,
